Morrison Marshall of Roseville, passed away August 10, 2019. Morrison attended St. Thomas Lutheran School in Detroit, Eastern High and Valparaiso University in Indiana where he met his future wife, Lois A. Reinking.

Devoted and loving husband of Lois Marshall for 72 years. Beloved father of Dale (Jenny) Marshall, Richard (Sally) Marshall, Peggy (Rick) McCutcheon and Karen (Mark) Dahn. Cherished grandfather of Nathan (Anna) Marshall, Heather (David) Hanlon, Wendy Marshall, Kelly Marshall, Kristen (Mike) Adams, Kyle (Lorne) McCutcheon, Kory McCutcheon, Steven (Jacklyn) Dahn, Sarah Dahn (fiancé Zach Noskey). Dear Great-Grandfather of Amelia and Declan Marshall and Braden, Hudson, Lincoln and Calvin Adams. He was predeceased by his parents, Duncan and Hilda Marshall, and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou (Jack) McCoubrie. He was a 32 plus year member of the Senior Men’s Club of Grosse Pointe and also sang in the chorus.

Morrison worked for the Atlas Dental Company, a family owned dental laboratory business, which he ultimately owned, for approximately 43 years. He was a Certified Dental Technician. During his career he took an active interest in his industry’s problems both state and nationally. He was President of the Michigan Dental Laboratory Association in 1958 and the National Association of Dental Laboratories in 1969. He was a Trustee for the National Board for Certification from 1970-1975. In 1973 he was appointed by the American Dental Association as a consultant on Dental Education in the area of Dental Technology. In 1974 he was nominated and selected to appear in the 1974 edition of Who’s Who in Michigan which he declined. Morrison received numerous awards and tributes during his working career. He rarely spoke of them. Morrison retired in 1985.

In state Friday, August 16, 10:00 am until time of funeral service 11:00 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 20338 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christ the King Lutheran Church or Area 27 Special Olympics, Livingston County, 1420 Woodhurst Court, Howell, MI 48843
