Golf
The autumn leaves that drift by our window reinforce the realization that the 2022 season for the Men’s Club of Grosse Pointe Golf league has reached a conclusion.
We will celebrate a very successful year for the league with our annual banquet scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Barrister Gardens in St. Clair Shores. There, league members and their guests will enjoy a delicious din-ner and refreshments and awards will be presented to players for the results of weekly competitions during the season as well as our two scrambles. The banquet is always a fine way to cap off the season by providing a means for our members to all get together, share “war stories” of their exploits during the season and pro- vide an opportunity for members to suggest any changes or improvements to the league for next season and beyond.
With the publishing of this article, the Golf Committee will enter its winter hibernation mode. Just like the first robin of spring, look for “Golf News” to reappear in early 2023 as we begin to thaw out from winter. In the meantime, we wish a happy and healthy upcoming Holiday Season to all members of our league and their respective families and friends as well as to all members of the Men’s Club of Grosse Pointe along with their respective families and friends!
Does the Men’s Club still have a league at SCS golf course?
I am retiring in April and am interested!

MC Golf can be played at any of three courses: Saint Clair Shores, Golden Hawk and Plumbrook. Sign up when the robins return and enjoy the fun with fellow members. Play when you want, with whomever you set up a time with — even non-members — and you can have your scores count for weekly and other awards.
